Sofie Hoflack (°1989) is an actress.
Already at a young age Sofie started dancing ballet, modern dance and Lindy Hop. Later on she went to art school, where she got to experiment with various disciplines such as drawing, editing, film, photography and performance.
From her passion for film raised the dream to focus on acting. Her experiences with drawing, dancing and singing help her to express herself as an actress.
Sofie built up years of acting experience playing in tens of shorts by directors such as Koen Van Sande, Maxime Lahousse and Brian Windelinckx. Many of those shorts had a beautiful festival life and got awarded. For Ambivalence by Maxime Lahouse she won the award for Best Actress at the MOFF Festival.
After small parts in Everybody Happy by Nic Balthazar and Polina by Angelin Preljocaj, she got het first big role in a feature film in 2016. Jan Verheyen asked her to play Rina in Control, the last part of the trilogy preceded by The Memory of a Killer and Dossier K. Control was released in Belgian theatres in October 2017.
Sofie grew up in France and Sweden and was raised in French, English and Dutch, which makes her perfectly trilingual.
